ROCHESTER, Minn. (AP) -- The owner of the Post-Bulletin is moving news page and ad design production of the Rochester newspaper and its other dailies to Moline, Ill.
Small Newspaper Group, of Kankakee, Ill., says centralizing key services of its daily papers will cut costs and improve efficiency. The company also has papers in Moline, Kankakee and Ottawa, Ill.
Nearly two dozen employees at the Post-Bulletin will be affected, including copy editors, news graphics and ad design artists. The company says at least eight jobs in the newsroom are among those affected.
The changes will be phased in by the end of the year.
