Robbery leads to standoff in Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC)-- Three people are facing charges after a robbery led to a standoff in Rochester.

Police received a call concerning a robbery at a hotel room on the 1800 block of South Broadway around 5 p.m. Monday.

A group of people believed to be armed had entered an apartment on the 2200 block of 3rd Avenue Southeast, right next to the Red Carpet Inn.

The suspects were unresponsive to commands to exit the building. However, by 6 p.m. one person surrendered. Then, the Emergency Response Unit arrived on scene.

Around 7:30 p.m., four men exited the house with their hands on their heads.

Police ordered them onto the ground before arresting each one.

No shots were fired and no one was hurt at the scene.

21-year-old Jermaine Johnson, 21-year-old Kayla Bale and 22-year-old Joseph Marshall face aggravated robbery charges.

The two men also face charges of felony possession of a firearm.
