Updated:

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A man is in custody after an argument turned violent and he pulled a gun on his girlfriend.

Investigators say 23-year-old Nathan Lindahl and his girlfriend were on their way to a doctor appointment for their newborn baby, when they started fighting about money.

Police say Lindahl then hit his girlfriend and pulled out a loaded gun.

The victim was able to get out of the car and call 911.

Lindahl is facing charges of second-degree assault, terroristic threats and two counts of domestic violence.

The felony charges will revoke Lindahl's permit to carry a gun.
