MOORHEAD, Minn. (AP) -- Police had to use pepper spray and a Taser to subdue a 19-year-old Moorhead man after he allegedly threw a shovel at officers.
Police were called about a possible attempted burglary around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. As officers responded, they got conflicting information about an altercation taking place.
When officers arrived, they saw the man holding a shovel and told him to drop it. The man allegedly threw the shovel, which glanced off one of the officers. The officer wasn't hurt.
After he was subdued, the man was arrested and taken to Sanford Medical Center.
The Forum reports the man allegedly assaulted several other people before officers arrived. The man is in jail, pending charges.
