ZUMBRO FALLS, Minn. (KTTC)-- Five people were injured in a head on crash about one mile south of Zumbro Falls Monday night.
According to the Wabasha County Sheriff's Office, a Chevy Suburban hauling a trailer was heading north on Highway 63 around 5 p.m. ,when it swerved to avoid a deer.
The Suburban carrying four people hit a southbound Buick Rendezvous. It then went over a guardrail and was hanging off the edge of a hill.
The conditions of the driver of the Buick, 35-year-old Ryan Klassen of Lake City, and a passenger in the suburban, 16-year-old Mariah Pederson of Chatfield, are not documented.
The other three passengers in the Chevy, 19-year-old Joshua Bernard, 18-year-old Karen Sass both of Chatfield, and 18-year-old Matthew Salerno of Rochester had non-life threatening injuries.
Officials say everyone was wearing a seatbelt.
