Reward offered in case of Wis. girl shot with arrow

Updated:

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (AP) -- Fond du Lac County's sheriff is hoping reward money will draw out the person responsible for shooting an arrow that injured a young Campbellsport girl -- or at least someone who has substantial information.

Seven-year-old Aryanna Schneeberg is recovering from internal injuries at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. She was shot in the back while playing with friends outside her home Sunday afternoon.

Sheriff Mick Fink said Wednesday the bow and arrows of a neighbor have been sent to the state crime lab for analysis after the man consented to a search of his property. Fink says investigators need to know who fired the arrow, but at this point they don't. The sheriff's department is offering a $500 reward for information leading to a "successful resolution" of the case.
