Deputy slams into suspect's car after chase

MOWER COUNTY, Minn. (KTTC) -- A high speed chase ended abruptly after a Mower County Sheriff's deputy slammed into the back of a Grand Meadow man's car.

According to the Austin Daily Herald, Josh Mallory was cited for felony fleeing an officer in a vehicle.

The deputy says Mallory's vehicle was going 25 mph in a 55 mph zone with no license plate light.

Mallory suddenly took off at speeds of around 80 mph after the deputy started following him.

The officer wound up slamming into the back of Mallory's vehicle, after Mallory turned his lights off and parked.

Mallory is being held in Mower County Jail.
