NEAR MINNEISKA, Minn. (KTTC) -- A train derailed Saturday near the river town of Minneiska. Sunday the tracks are back open.
Ed Greenburg, the spokesman for Canadian Pacific Railways, says rail traffic resumed at 8 o'clock this morning despite one car still sitting on its side.
The derailment happened around 7:45 p.m. sending two cars off the tracks. One car had already been removed from the scene. Both cars were empty.
No one was injured in the incident. According to the Winona County Sheriff's department neither car contained any hazardous material and the cause of derailment is unknown.
