ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A man driving along Highway 52 pulled to the shoulder just moments before passing away. Rochester Police were called to respond to a car Sunday morning where a motorist apparently suffered a medical emergency.
At this time few details are available. We do know around 7:30 a.m. Sunday police were called to the scene just south of Apache Mall where they found a 51 year-old man already deceased.
Sgt. Steve Thompson with the Rochester Police Department explains, "It appears to be a medical problem. But until we hear back from the coroner we have no idea what caused his death."
Sgt. Thompson also says the man was able to pull over to the shoulder and put the car in park before passing away.
Sunday morning officers were still notifying family members.
