Rochester man arrested in Pine Island stabbing

PINE ISLAND TOWNSHIP, Minn. (KTTC) -- A Rochester man was arrested after a stabbing in Pine Island Township.

33-year-old Alfred Einberger is in custody in the Goodhue County Jail, following the stabbing around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

35-year-old Thomas Siem, Jr. of Rochester called the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office saying that he had been stabbed by Einberger at a home on 460th Street in Pine Island Township.

Siem was taken to Saint Marys Hospital where he was treated and released.

Einberger was arrested on the scene.

He is being held on 2nd degree assault charges.

An Oronoco man was also arrested on the scene for possession of methamphetamine.
