Lyle's interim-superintendent takes over

LYLE, Minn. (KTTC) -- After months of a rocky relationship among the Lyle School Board, a new interim-superintendent is determined to change the atmosphere of the school board for the better.

Former Superintendent Jim Dusso resigned from the position last month, and Joe Guanella has been selected to fill his slot. At Monday night's meeting Guanella introduced himself to the community. He's no stranger to the educational system in fact, he use to be superintendent and principal at Alden-Conger.

Guanella explained his method for running the board meetings focusing specifically on allowing a public comment period. He will fill the superintendent position thru June, making a little over $31,000.

In the months to come the board will look to hire a full-time superintendent for next school year.
