BLUE EARTH, Minn. (KTTC) -- Police in Blue Earth have arrested the husband of the woman targeted in a violent home invasion early Monday, and are holding him behind bars in the murder of a 37-year-old man killed in the attack.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says Brian Freeman, 29, of Ceylon was arrested late Monday night and is being held in the Faribault County Jail.  Police believe he was the man wearing a mask who burst into the home of 38-year-old Candice Freeman in the 400 block of 4th Street East in Blue Earth about 12:30 a.m. Monday.  A 9-1-1 call from inside the home alerted police to the attack.

When police arrived, they found the body of the 37-year-old man inside the home.  His identify has not yet been released.

The BCA says it's believed that Freeman used a tool or tools to bludgeon those inside the home; officers are now searching for the weapons used.

When police arrived at the scene early Monday, they say Candice Freeman of Ceylon, her 19-year-old daughter Brittany Kay Devary and Freeman's 15-year-old daughter were found seriously injured. The Freeman's six-year-old daughter was found inside the home but she was not hurt.

The three victims were airlifted to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.  At 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, a spokesperson for Mayo Clinic told KTTC that she had "no information" on the conditions of the three victims.
