Ending services to rid crows in Rochester

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC)-- The city of Rochester will end their contract with U.S. Bird Abatement Services after this Saturday to save money.

Last week the company spent five nights netting crows and only caught 50.

Heather Gast, a bird handler, says the crows are no longer crowding the Mayo parking ramps.

Which could possibly be because of the spring-like weather that makes it impossible to net them.

She recommends netting again next fall when the birds begin to roost in the city.

City Council tells us they're putting together a local group to trap and shoot the birds.
