Search for suspect after Mason City bank robbery

MASON CITY, Iowa (KTTC) -- Mason City police are investigating a bank robbery that happened Friday morning.

Officers responded to a hold-up alarm at the downtown branch of First Citizens National Bank on East State Street shortly after 10 a.m.

It is unclear how many people were involved, if anyone was armed, or how much money was taken.

Officers are investigating whether a stolen Chevy S-10 pickup truck found after the bank robbery is somehow related to the crime.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-383-0088.
