FILLMORE COUNTY, Minn. (KTTC) -- The Minnesota State Patrol has released the name of the Spring Valley man killed in a crash on Highway 63 Thursday night.
William Schmoll, 25 was killed when his Honda Civic went into the path of a semi truck.
The crash happened around 8:45 p.m., about two miles south of Spring Valley.
According to the State Patrol, Schmoll was on the shoulder of Highway 63 with his flashers on, when he suddenly pulled out in front of the semi to turn onto a farm road.
The semi slammed into the Honda, launching it into the ditch.
Schmoll was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi was not hurt.
