Brandrup trial, day 2

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Testimony is well into its second day in the trial of Adam Brandrup. Back in 2008, Brandrup got into an argument with another man in a downtown alley. The fight ended with the death of the other man.

Adam Brandrup is charged with 2nd degree murder and 1st degree manslaughter in the death of 42-year old Muhadin Mumin. He was found dead in the alley behind Club Amsterdam.

Thursday, two of Mumin's friends testified, but before they did so the Attorney's debated the validity of the witnesses testimonies, including Mr. Omer. His truthfulness was questioned because of prior convictions including 3rd degree assault and lying to police.

The other key witness was Rachel Brust, she was with Brandrup and others as he was allegedly confronted by Mumin in the alley.

Tomorrow former Olmsted County Coroner Dr. Pfeifer will testify along with Dr. Row, she reviewed his autopsy results. While Dr. Pfeifer ruled the death a homicide, Dr. Row concluded Mumin may have instead died or Arrhythmia, due to the alcohol and cocaine in his body.
