Stolen wheelchair hockey trailer found in Minn.

Updated:

MAPLE GROVE, Minn. (AP) -- Police have found an equipment trailer for wheelchair hockey players that was stolen last week in Shakopee.

Authorities say the trailer was recovered in Maple Grove, and the man suspected in the theft also is suspected in potentially dozens of other property crimes.

Police tell the Star Tribune the Minnesota PowerHockey League trailer was found Tuesday as police were at a storage facility investigating another crime.

The trailer was stolen outside a business in Shakopee where it was parked during the winter. Some of the stolen hockey equipment was found dumped on a road near Wayzata High School.

Police are still investigating the trailer theft. The suspect has not been charged.

PowerHockey League players use electric-powered wheelchairs and compete in a gym using a whiffle ball.
