DULUTH, Minn. (AP) -- Prosecutors have determined there is "no chargeable crime" in the death of a janitor who was found dead in a downtown Duluth elevator last month.
Police say 62-year-old Edward Everett Olson of Duluth had a blood-alcohol level of 0.17 percent and that he apparently died from complications of a fractured neck.
The Duluth News Tribune reports the St. Louis County medical examiner ruled the cause of death as "undetermined."
Police and an ambulance responded to a medical emergency at an office building on Jan. 24 and found Olson dead inside an elevator, apparently suffering a head injury.
Olson's wife was with him. The two were overnight custodians in the building.
Police say Olson's wife maintains she is unsure how her husband was injured.
Police are not seeking any suspects.
