Slippery evening commute expected

Posted:

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A weak storm system from the west is spreading clouds and a little light snow across the region Friday.  We're going to have a little light snow in the morning hours along and west of Interstate 35 and then through southeastern Minnesota and far northeastern Iowa through the midday and afternoon hours.  Totals will be rather light with an inch or less expected in most locations, but we'll still have to be extra careful on the streets and highways for the evening commute as things may be a little slippery as with most snow events.  The snow will wind down by mid evening Friday and skies are actually expected to clear off by midnight.  Winds will be rather gusty late tonight and tomorrow, so there may be some minor drifting, of the snow and you may have to re-shovel a little, but overall, this storm system's impact will be rather minor.
