James W. Van De Walker (Jim)

CPL Jim Van De Walker entered the US Army on September 19, 1958 and completed both Basic and Advanced Training at Fort Hood,Texas.
Jim was an Expert Tank Artillery Gunner (105 mm Howitzers) and was assigned to the 22nd Field Artillery, 4th Armored Division in Zirndorf, Bavaria, Germany. Jim went back to the States after nearly 18 months in Germany and was discharged on September 12, 1960. Jim and his wife Barb are retired and live on the family farm in New Haven Township.
