Tickets sell out for first Target Field concert

Updated:

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Tickets sold out in four hours for the first concert at the home of the Minnesota Twins, despite a technical problem with purchasing the tickets.

The Star Tribune reports the first concert at Target Field in downtown Minneapolis will feature Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw on July 8.

Minnesota Twins officials say the 39,000 or so tickets were gone in about four hours.

Ticket sales were being handled by the team at www.twinsbaseball.com/concerts, not Ticketmaster. There were no box office ticket sales.

In a statement, Twins President Dave St. Peter apologized for the problems and the Twins would work closely with their ticketing partner, Tickets.com, to investigate the problem.
