ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- A scary overnight encounter for a Rochester couple after their home was invaded by nearly a dozen people.
Police say the break-in happened at Meadow Park Apartments on 4th Avenue SE around 10:25 p.m. Wednesday.
According to one resident of the apartment, a man knocked on his door and when he cracked the door, nearly 12 men barged in.
The suspects were all armed with guns.
They were described as black males in their late teens or early twenties, most wearing hoods.
Lieutenant Dan Muyres says luckily no one was hurt in the incident.
"A number of them were armed with handguns. They pushed their way into the apartment, said they were looking for someone by the name of 'D.' They searched through the apartment and didn't find their apparent target and then they left," said Lt. Muyres.
The resident and his girlfriend said they did not know any of the men.
There were two young children in the apartment at the time.
