Biobusiness park at Elk Run first business

Rochester, Minn. (KTTC) -- After years of planning.. the bio-business park at elk run may have inked its first deal.  A timely decision as Minnesota showcases advances in this field in a statewide summit being held in the Twin Cities.

The summit showcased Major advances in Minnesota's Biotechnology.

All of the Rochester and pine Island interests pushing the Elk Run Project were in attendance this afternoon and all of this is ongoing just as Elk Run received a letter of intent from their possible first tennant.

Elk run is in the process of converting from what used to be a rural elk farm in Pine Island to a state of the art bioscience research area.

The Minneapolis Biotech Firm Recombinetics signed a letter of intent to possibly be the first tennant at Elk Run.

Recombinetics is the first tennant to reveal its intentions at elk run and they are of all things to build a housing facility for female pigs.
