MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Kevin Love had 27 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to lift the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 112-101 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks last night. Brandon Knight scored 21 points for Milwaukee. The Bucks led at halftime and were looking for their first set of back-to-back victories this season.
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Taylor Hall scored in the fourth round of the shootout to lift the Edmonton Oilers to a 4-3 victory over the Minnesota Wild last night. Hall beat Darcy Kuemper with a forehand after each team scored in the first two rounds of the shootout. Viktor Fasth stopped two straight shots before Hall slipped the game-winner between Kuemper's pads.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Vikings and veteran offensive lineman Joe Berger have agreed to a one-year contract. This is the second straight offseason the Vikings have done a one-year deal with Berger, who is entering his 10th NFL season. Berger has 29 starts over the last five years.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Vikings have finalized contracts with Everson Griffen and quarterback Matt Cassel that they agreed to over the weekend. Griffen was almost beside himself with excitement in talking about his future as a full-time defensive end under new head coach Mike Zimmer. Griffen said he "just knew this was the right place" for him.
