Peter Schuneman - KTTC Rochester, Austin, Mason City News, Weather and Sports

From the southwest suburbs to Southeast Minnesota, Peter is a native of Belle Plaine, Minnesota. He joined our team in January of 2011 as a producer for our 5 and 9 o'clock newscasts. In September of 2011, he redirected his focus and became one of our multi-media journalists. Peter graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication - Broadcasting and a minor in Music from Winona State University.

When he's not in the field covering the latest news, he's in the field hunting, fishing, four-wheeling or just enjoying anything outdoors.

As a former Minnesota Town Team Baseball player, Peter still takes pleasure in watching a good Sunday afternoon ball game.

He currently lives in Saint Charles with his wife and yellow lab. "A lot of people don't realize what southeast Minnesota has to offer. Because I live just 8 miles away, I find myself exploring the Whitewater Valley more and more each visit. It's a hundred times better than a morning cup of coffee… and cheaper too."
