Royal Wedding Watchers

Rochester, Minn. (KTTC) The most anticipated wedding of the century was finally here, and some of Rochester's most excited had no problem getting up at 4 AM to watch it.

They enjoyed it so much in fact, that many came together tonight to celebrate the joyous occasion again.

Millions lined the streets of London to celebrate the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton.

"It was an incredible experience the whole thing. Carriages were beautiful, the suits were beautiful and Kate looked amazing," says Charlie Fisher, a student in London.

It wasn't just people in England who celebrated the wedding.

"My wife woke me up this morning at 5 O'Clock and I just watched the program from then," says Ray Ricketts.

But with all the fanfare, some missed out on watching it with friends.

So Calvary Episcopal Church recorded and replayed the event for their congregation Friday evening.

"It's just a great chance to get together and have some fun at a time when the news and the clouds around the world seem to be kinda dark and dismal this is a bright light in all of that," Father Nick Mezacapa

Most who attended the watch party even took it a step further and got dressed up to celebrate the royal nuptials.

"I think it gives us all hope for happiness and here is a young couple and life is gonna carry on," says Pam Manos.

Father Nick says the idea to host a wedding watch party came from his wife after she was asked, "I wonder where my invitation to the wedding is?"
