WINONA (KTTC) -- A man from Utica has surrendered to the Winona County Sheriff's Office after a warrant was issued for his arrest following a violent domestic incident Wednesday night.
Winona Co. Chief Deputy Ron Ganrude says 43-year-old Todd Roy Hackbarth is in custody and the county attorney's office is reviewing a request for charges of domestic abuse, felony attempted strangulation, and making terroristic threats.
Ganrude says the Utica man was involved in a dispute over six guns; Hackbarth took them with him when he fled the home last night about 9 p.m. He reportedly did not want them to be pawned for cash. Ganrude says a witness reported that Hackbarth threw a woman to the ground, and had her by the neck in a laundry room of the home. The woman was not seriously hurt.
