ROCHESTER (KTTC) -- The fourth-ranked RCTC Yellowjackets exacted some payback Wednesday evening before a packed house by whipping third-ranked Central Lakes 68-57.
Both community college teams are now 7-1 in the conference and 22-1 for the season. The Yellowjackets' only loss of the year came at the hands of the Raiders, so this victory was sweet.
Now, some of the highlights from Pat Lund's coverage -- Rochester was looking to increase its two point lead in the second half when Chaz Sharp stepped back and popped a 12-foot jumper.
The 'Jackets like to get the ball to Joe Beck... the 6' 8" freshman from Lake City is surrounded but puts the shot up and in.
Then Al Tillman penetrated the paint and kicked it out to David Fritsch and the Stewartville native fills it up...Rochester leads 38-32 early in the second.
Fritsch found the range... he takes the cross-court pass and there's nothing prettier than a hot shooter. That's another three for Fritsch.
A great sequence next, by Torren Dowdy: first he slices down the lane and finishes... keep an eye on number 24... look at him come right back and play defense... he picks the pocket and goes in for two more points... he led the way with 17-points.
