Residents frustrated by lack of plowing

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC)-- Residents along 1st Street Southwest in Rochester say they are fed up by the lack of city snow plows that haven't shown up to clear their street.

"It narrows the road down to the point where a garbage truck can't even get by," says Dan Gevers.

Rochester Public Works blew through their snow removal budget back in December but officials say they are doing the best they can to keep up with the constant snow fall we've seen this winter.

"This is just lack of plowing," Gevers says looking at the 3 inches of snow on his street.

Gevers is also frustrated by the city's parking regulations that people don't always follow, on Monday afternoon at least two cars were ticketed for parking on the wrong side of the street.

"Why have an ordinance where there's no parking on one side of the street for road maintenance, if you aren't going to do the road maintained," Gevers adds.

"You need to do it on a Monday or Tuesday where there's no parking on one side of the street or the other."
