Some Parks and Recreation fees to increase

ROCHESTER, MN (KTTC-DT) -- You may have to dish out more money for some of your favorite Rochester activities.

The Rochester Parks and Recreation Department will meet Tuesday at 4:30pm to discuss and approve 2011 fees and charges.

This means that some facilities and activities that you pay for, such as garden plots, golf courses, swimming pools, and shelter rentals, to name a few, may see a fee increase, but not every fee will be going up.

Parks and Recreation Office Services Coordinator Kelly Evans says one of the reasons for the price increase is to offset operating costs.
