Heidi Wigdahl joined KTTC in October 2010. She joined the NewsCenter team after graduating magna cum laude from DePaul University in Chicago.
She is thrilled to be back in Minnesota, having been born and raised in Alexandria.
Heidi majored in Journalism with a minor in Creative Writing. DePaul's College of Communication named her "Journalism Student of the Year" in 2010.
While in college, she interned at CBS 2 in Chicago, KSAX-TV in Alexandria, and the DePaul Documentary Project. Heidi's internship with DDP gave her the opportunity to work with Peabody Award-Winning journalists Carol Marin and Don Moseley. With DDP, she was able to contribute content for NBC 5, Chicago Tonight Live and Chicago Sun-Times. Heidi also was news editor for The DePaulia, DePaul's campus newspaper, that won 13 Illinois College Press Association awards for the 2009-2010 school year.
During her free time, Heidi likes to play piano and sing. She also loves to read, play tennis and act. Her favorite things include: Hello Kitty, Harry Potter, High School Musical and drinking Pepsi.
