Eagles Cancer Telethon auditions

Rochester, MN (KTTC) -- It's that time of year again for the annual auditions for the Eagles Cancer Telethon. Sunday was the second round of auditions for the upcoming 57th annual cancer telethon, and many were ready to give it their all for the judges.

This year, the judges say they're getting a lot of acts coming in, but they are encouraging more to attend.

"There's been some great acts. I mean anywhere between from singing to stand-up comedy, to keyboard playing and it really runs the gamut of entertainment. The best thing is seeing the, I don't know, the joy in their faces as they're coming to help in the fight against cancer," says Alan Reed, the co-coordinator of the telethon auditions.

The last audition will be next Sunday the 14th, and the telethon will take place on January 15th and 16th. It's the longest running, locally produced telethon in the country.
