Meth-makers caught red-handed

KELLOGG, Minn. (KTTC) -- OFFICIALS WAITED IN THE DARK AT PROGRESSIVE AG PLANT FOR TWO MEN, WHO THEY KNEW WOULD BE ON THE PREMISES.

OUTSIDE PROGRESSIVE AG PLANT IN KELLOGG, RICKY ORR AND JEREMY POLUS PARKED THEIR CAR AND WALKED THE RAILROAD TRACKS TO GET ANHYDROUS AMMONIA THAT THEY LATER SAID WAS FOR METHAMPHETAMINE. THEY WERE GOING TO MAKE THE METH RIGHT ON THE PREMISES.

DEPUTIES WAITED 45-MINUTES ON PLANT PREMISES BEFORE SOMEONE JUST WALKING BY AND SCARED THEM OFF. WABASHA COUNTY DEPUTIES WERE PREPARED TO CATCH THEM RED-HANDED, AFTER BEING TIPPED OFF BY SOUTHEASTERN MINNESOTA NARCOTICS TASK FORCE.

THIS ISN'T THE FIRST TIME OFFICIALS HAVE ENCOUNTERED PROBLEMS WITH METHAMPHETAMINE. IT"S THE SECOND THIS MONTH. THE TWO MEN ARE NOW IN JAIL.
