(KTTC-DT) -- We know many of our neighbors in southern Minnesota were devastated by tornadoes that tore through the state earlier this month.

Red Cross volunteers have been working day and night helping people in need.  And now, they're asking people to help replenish some of the estimated $250,000 - $400,000 that will be tapped to help the victims clean up and start over.

KTTC, FOX 47 and Hy-Vee are partnering with the American Red Cross to help meet that need.

Please consider donating to any Rochester Hy-Vee store on Wednesday, June 30 between 5:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., just look for the tables outside with KTTC staff.

You can also donate to the Southeast Minnesota Chapter's Disaster Relief Fund by clicking here.

Or, mail a check made out to the American Red Cross (write "Disaster Relief Fund" in the memo section) and send to:

According to the Red Cross, 1,237 homes were damaged in the June 17, June 25 and June 26 storms.  Of those, 117 were destroyed.  Another 188 suffered major damage, 489 received minor damage, and 443 were only slightly damaged.

"Historically, when dealing with disaster areas as wide spread as this, we will find variations of a few homes as relief efforts move forward," says Melanie Tschida, Executive Director of Southeast Minnesota.  "Examples include when structures recorded as single family homes turn out to be duplexes, or when damage is inside the home and not readily visible from the outside of the dwelling."

So far, there have been 153 Red Cross volunteers helping within Minnesota.
