ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC-DT) -- A verdict has been reached in the trial of a Mankato man accused of assaulting his infant son.

Robert Heck, 30, has been found guilty of first degree assault after doctors found his son had 24 broken bones.

The child was a conjoined twin who was separated during surgery from his brother at Mayo Clinic in 2007.

Heck has a record that includes damage to property as well as disorderly conduct.

Heck says he did not hurt his child.
