Authorities ID teenagers killed in crash near Altura


ALTURA, Minn. (AP) -- Authorities have identified the three teenage girls who died after a rollover crash along a rural road in southeast Minnesota.

The victims of Friday's crash near Altura were identified Saturday as 16-year-old Shauna Marie Ruhoff, 14-year-old Katie Lee Hornberg and 13-year-old Morgan Zeller.

Ruhoff and Zeller were from Lewiston. Hornberg was from Altura.

Twelve-year-old Cydney Maker of Lewiston was in critical condition Saturday at a hospital in La Crosse, Wis.

Winona County authorities say the girls were found Friday about 3:20 p.m. in a ditch near an overturned pickup truck. The cause of the crash hasn't been determined.

All four girls are from Lewiston-Altura High School. The school was open Saturday for students wanting to meet with counselors.
