MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The NFL draft schedule has changed this year, and the Minnesota Vikings have split their annual fan party into 12.
The Vikings announced Tuesday that they'll sponsor gatherings from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at a dozen bars around the Twin Cities area during the first round of the draft on Thursday, April 22. Current and former players will appear at each site.
The second and third rounds of the draft will be held on Friday night, April 23, with the remaining four rounds on Saturday, April 24. Previously, the draft was a Saturday-Sunday event.
The Vikings will also hold a kickoff event for the franchise's 50th season at the Mall of America on Saturday, April 24. Autograph sessions begin at 11 a.m. that day.
