COPY-Knives, gun found in backpack inside Chipotle

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC DT) -- Rochester police officers are trying to figure out who left a backpack filled with a loaded gun and two knives inside a the Chipotle restaurant in south Rochester.

Around 3:30 p.m. Friday, employees at that Chipotle found the bag after a group of teenagers left the building.

Workers opened the bag to look for an ID but instead found a loaded 22 caliber hand gun and two knives.

Those employees immediately called police when they discovered those weapons.

"The bag was left lying on the floor unattended with a loaded gun and anybody could have walked up there, a kid could have got the bag and gotten into it and something terrible could have happened," says Greg Jerdeau from the Rochester Police Department.

Investigators say they do have some leads as to who the bag might belong to, but haven't made any arrests.
