United Auto Workers reach contract agreement with Crenlo

ROCHESTER, MN (KTTC-DT) -- UAW Local 2125 Union has reached a contract agreement with Crenlo.

Union employees of the cab manufacturer, Crenlo, have been trying to hash out a new contract with the company for some time.

UAW President David Zebaugh says 53 employees were let go from Crenlo last year.

In the new contract, Zebaugh says health insurance under the family plan will go up in 5 years from $25 to $250.  He goes on to say that Crenlo gave employees enough in wage increases that it should help with the health insurance increases.

Zebaugh tells the NewsCenter that there are no plans to lay off any more workers, but employees who have lost their jobs at Crenlo have not been asked back.

Zebaugh says they are happy with the outcome of the new contract and says they can now get on with their lives.
