ROCHESTER, MN (KTTC-TV) -- A sad ending for the owners of an agressive dog.
Police say an animal control officer believed the dog was a risk to others on the 300 block of 6th Street S.E.
The officer tried unsucessfully to snar the pit bull running loose.
Then a police officer tried to taze it, but when the dog rushed the officer, he shot it in the leg.
It was taken to a local vet office.
Investigators aren't sure if the dog had to be euthanized. They say it also had a history of biting family members.
