CLEAR LAKE, MINN. (KTTC) -- It is the longest and largest world tour. Anthony Cosentino says, "riding after a long day and it's hot like today, you wonder."
Clear Lake is a central stop for over 15,000 bikers today. The bikers are taking part in the Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa, or RAGBRAI. The two-wheel invasion is the largest and longest tour in the world.
It is also non-competitive. Cosentino says, "And I think it is all the comoradorie. The people are great here in Iowa." For him, it is about family. "There is 7 of us total. My cousins are here. It's almost like a reunion."
For both observers and bikers, RAGBRAI lit up Clear Lake with a festive mood. Their final destination is Dubuque, Iowa, where they will dip the back tires of their bikes in the Missouri River.
