LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) -- A former La Crosse retirement fund manager has pleaded guilty to stealing more than $850,000 from investors.
Donald Johnson disappeared in 1995 after raiding the retirement accounts of 68 investors -- including teachers, clergy members and nurses.
Fourteen years later, the 67-year-old Johnson resurfaced and turned himself in at the La Crosse police station.
The La Crosse Tribune reports Johnson faces 10 years in prison when he's sentenced May 17.
