ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Eight people charged with conspiring to riot during last year's Republican National Convention in St. Paul will be tried together.
Ramsey County District Judge Teresa Warner says a consolidated trial is in the "interests of justice."
The Star Tribune reported prosecutors wanted eight trials, but Warner noted that all defendants face identical charges and have worked together on their defense.
The so-called RNC Welcoming Committee had a Web site on which it advocated plans to "Crash the Convention," held in September 2008.
