NEW YORK (KTTC-DT/AP) -- The NFL has moved the Minnesota at Arizona game to the night slot on Dec. 6 under its flexible scheduling policy, meaning it will be the featured NBC Sunday Night Football game airing on KTTC.
For Vikings fans, a matchup between Brett Favre and Iowa native Kurt Warner can't get much better. Add Arizona star wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald from Minneapolis to the mix, and you have something a lot of people will be watching.
Back in 1994, Warner tried out with the Green Bay Packers, trying without success to join the team Favre led into the history books. It wasn't until years later that Warner would break into the NFL in the St. Louis organization.
The league announced Tuesday that it was moving the original Week 13 night game, New England at Miami, to a 1 p.m. EST start. It will switch the Vikings-Cardinals game from 4:15 p.m. to 8:20 p.m EST.
The league's flexible scheduling policy allows it to change the Sunday night game to select a better matchup starting in Week 11.
Minnesota leads the NFC North at 9-1 going into its home matchup Sunday against Chicago. Arizona is 7-3 and atop the NFC West heading into its game at Tennessee on Sunday.
