ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- The Minnesota Wild have assigned defenseman Tyler Cuma to Ottawa of the Ontario Hockey League.
The 19-year-old was Minnesota's first-round pick in 2008 and is coming off a left knee injury in February. He is fully healed, but will return to Ottawa to continue his development.
The Wild also assigned six players to their AHL affiliate in Houston to trim their training camp roster to 32 players.
Goalies Wade Dubielewicz (doo-blih-witz) and Anton Khudobin (kyoo-DOH'-bin), defenseman Justin Falk and wingers Petr Kalus, Jon DiSalvatore and Duncan Milroy all will start the season with the Aeros.
