FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- The beer's free in Fargo. Dixie Brewing in New Orleans is sending 1,000 cases of brewskis to the North Dakota city.

The brewery is helping Fargo Mayor Dennis Walaker make good on a promise to buy everyone a beer after the city's flooding crisis was over.

Well, the early-spring flooding danger has passed and the people of Fargo can kick back.

Dixie Brewing knows about disasters. The company was severely damaged by Hurricane Katrina and wanted to help Fargo.

People attending a post-flood party in Fargo will get a coupon for one free beer.
