The Memorial Day holiday weekend certainly won't be the brightest or warmest that we have ever seen, but it won't be the wettest either. In fact, residual dry air looks like it will win out for the most part as high pressure remains entrenched over the Great Lakes. Meanwhile, a warm front will strengthen over the Plains through Iowa this weekend, and that will be the catalyst for additional shower and thunderstorm activity to our southwest. By next week the aforementioned warm front lifts north across the Chippewa Valley, increasing the chances for more rainfall here in western Wisconsin.
