NEW YORK (AP) - A late philanthropist's modern art collection featuring a rarely seen work by Pablo Picasso is being auctioned in New York City.

The seminal painting by Picasso is called "Nude, Green Leaves, and Bust." It's expected to fetch up to $90 million in the May sale at Christie's auction house. It's been exhibited in the United States only once, in 1961.

The collection belonged to California philanthropist Frances Lasker Brody. It also includes important works by Henri Matisse and Alberto Giacometti.

Brody died in November at age 93. Her late husband was real estate developer Sidney Brody. They were founding benefactors of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the UCLA Art Council.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale will benefit the Huntington Library in Santa Marino, Calif. Frances Brody was on its board of overseers.
