Steph joined the KTTC News Team as Weekend Meteorologist in February 2008. Born and raised in Neenah, Wisconsin (Go Packers!), she graduated from Neenah High School in 2003. She then graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and minor in Mass Communications in December 2007 from St. Cloud State University.
Steph caught the weather bug from her dad when she was very young - he was a Charter Captain on Lake Michigan. Her dad was always glued to what was going to be happening outside. Her parents enjoy sharing the story about Steph's early broadcasting career; whenever there was going to be a severe thunderstorm or tornado watch, Steph would write notes and stick them on her neighbors doors, telling them about it and what to do in case bad weather struck!
During college Steph joined UTVS News, the campus television station and St. Cloud's local and daily live newscast. She worked as a Broadcast Meteorologist for two years before becoming Chief Meteorologist. She worked there right up to her graduation. In 2007 she was part of the newscast that won a regional and national Emmy for Best College Newscast. Steph also interned at KMSP FOX 9 in the Twin Cities and is a member of the National Weather Association.
Steph enjoys spending time with her husband and puppy (Keller) camping, hiking, biking, running, skiing, and gardening, to name a few. She also loves cooking, writing, photography, music, knitting and traveling. Her parents live in Neenah and she has one younger sister. Steph has a big family that lives mainly throughout Wisconsin, but can be found across the country!
