MILWAUKEE (AP) - Lucas Duda hit a two-run homer as the New York Mets split a four-game series with the Milwaukee Brewers with a 2-0 win yesterday. Duda sent an 0-2 slider in the sixth from rookie Jimmy Nelson into the second deck above right field to break a scoreless pitcher's duel. It was Duda's third homer in four days in Milwaukee.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - Randall Cobb doesn't know if he's next on the Green Bay Packers re-signing to-do list. Cobb is entering the final year of his rookie deal. Among the Packers' other unrestricted free agents-to-be are right tackle Bryan Bulaga, cornerback Tramon Williams and defensive tackle B.J. Raji.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Sam Fuld hit a tiebreaking, two-run single off Javy Guerra in a three-run seventh inning as the Minnesota Twins defeated the Chicago White Sox 4-3 yesterday. Danny Santana had two RBIs for the last-place Twins. All-Star Glen Perkins retired Gordon Beckham on a bases-loaded flyout for his 25th save in 28 chances.
UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) - Maya Moore had 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists to help the Minnesota Lynx beat the Connecticut Sun 76-65 yesterday. Rebekkah Brunson had nine points and 10 rebounds for the Lynx. Janel McCarville had 11 points and seven rebounds. Seimone Augustus also scored 13.
